Introduction
The functioning of international capital markets is an important
issue for the international agenda. International organisations
and groupings regularly discuss aspects of international capital
markets. Examples are the IMF,
World Bank,
the G20,
the OECD,
the G7,
and the G24. Discussions
in these organisations will affect policies in the EU and developing
countries. At the same time, the policies of the EU and developing
countries provide important inputs for the discussion.
