Development Co-operation: Ireland
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has two
Ministers: the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Minister of
State. The Minister of State at the Department of Foreign Affairs is
responsible for overseas development assistance and human rights.
The department is, among others, responsible for the development,
implementation and management of Irish Aid, which is the Irish
programme of development co-operation.

co-operation.
In 1996 a White Paper was published on Foreign
Policy, under the title "Challenges
and Opportunities Abroad". It includes a chapter on Irish
development co-operation.
