Development Co-operation: Germany
Germany has a separate Ministry for Economic
Co-operation and Development. This Ministry does not have to account
to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Because development co-operation
can affect other areas of German policy, some co-ordination between
the Ministry of Economic Co-operation and Development, the Ministry
of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry responsible for external
relations is needed.
For the further information go to:
The Ministry of Economic Co-operation and
Development is responsible for the planning and design of
development policy of the German government. It is not responsible
for the execution of projects and programmes in the field of
development co-operation, but the Ministry assigns the execution to
autonomous organisations.
An overview of the most important organisations
with a link each website can be found at the website of the Ministry
of Economic Development and Co-operation website.

development assistance of Germany in the period 1998-99 can be found
