Development co-operation: Denmark
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Denmark focuses
on the following policy issues: EU, security, trade, the UN, Eastern

Very little information is available in English.
There are four publications available in English that relate to
development co-operation. These publications include:
Until 1962 all Danish development aid flowed to the
UN. In 1962 Denmark provided bilateral aid for the first time. This
led in 1971 to the establishment of the Danish International
Development Agency (Danida). The Ministry of foreign Affairs is
divided into a North group and a South group. Danida is an integral
part of the South Group. This South group furthermore consists of
The Minister for development co-operation, the Board of Development
Assistance Co-operation and the Council of Development Assistance
Co-operation. The parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committee lays down
the criteria for the selection of program co-operation countries.
