In Belgium the Ministry of Foreign Affairs,
Foreign Trade and Development Aid is headed by the Minister of
Foreign Affairs, who is assisted by two state secretaries: one for
foreign trade and one for development co-operation.
Development co-operation is one of the tasks of
the Ministry. The objectives of the Belgian Co-operation policy are
sustainable development and the combat of poverty.
