Development Co-operation: Sweden
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is responsible for
issues dealing with foreign policy, international development
co-operation, international trade, human rights, migration and
asylum policy and the promotion of Sweden abroad.

The Swedish parliament and government determine the
economic framework for development co-operation, i.e. the emphasis
of this co-operation and the countries with which co-operation will
take place. Sida is the Swedish government agency dealing with
bilateral international development co-operation and the major part
of the co-operation with Central an Eastern Europe.
