Development co-operation: Italy
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Italy is
responsible for development co-operation. Further information can be

The Directorate General for development co-operation
plans, formulates and implements co-operation policy guidelines and
sector policies on health, environment and local entrepreneurial
development. Furthermore, it executes programmes and initiatives in
developing countries, conducts emergency operations and provides
food aid. Finally, it manages financial co-operation and support to
private sector development and to the balance of payments of
developing countries. At this moment, there are plans to reorganise
the entire sector of public sector aid to development.
